How long will it take for this open wound to heal ? ?

I just got a pilonidal cyst removed, and a week and a half later a little part of the stitches came open, the doctor said to drain the wound, witch is like a quarter size, every day and stick gauze in it. How long will it drain and how long will it take to heal ?
