Will burning my tattoo with a lighter make it go away?

im talking about a severe burn, holding the lighter to it as long as i can... my tat is barely the size of a quarter and just the outline of a clover. i need it removed before my mom sees it i dont want it to upset her and its on my wrist ive tried wrecking balm and it DOES NOT WORK! i cant afford medical procedures either.... so will burning it off work or do i need to slash it off with a nice?
