Will a quarter inch thick piece of plywood stop a bullet from a .22 caliber rifle?

I'm sighting in my .22 and firing from 20-50 yards on level surface. I was wondering if I could use a quarter inch thick piece of plywood to use as a backstop behind my target. I'm using hollow point LR bullets.
