What are vagina's supposed to smell like?

Depends on the girl. Some women have naturally 'foul'-smelling vaginas, some don't. If it didn't smell before and now does, then it's probably something to do with their diet or they've acquired a UTI or vaginal infection. You don't have to have sex to get a problem down there so saying you're a virgin doesn't rule out the possibility!
